Möller's Omega 3 is obtained from cod liver oil . Cod liver oil contains high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)). It also contains vitamins A and D. Omega-3 products are derived from small fish such as mackerel, sardines, anchovies, herring and horse mackerel, and others from the liver of large cod. In contrast, cod liver oil also contains vitamins A and D.

The Möller's Omega-3 Baby 250 ml variety contains 280 mg DH and 185 mg EPA per 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon), the Möller's Omega-3 apple flavor 250 ml variety contains 550 mg DHA and 370 mg EPA per 5 ml (1 teaspoon) and the Möller's Omega-3 (Tutti Frutti) 250 ml variety contains 275 mg DHA, 185 mg EPA and 585 mg omega-3 fatty acids per 2.5 ml.
The amounts of vitamins A, D and E are the same in all liquid Möller's Omega - 3 products. The most important benefit of EPA and DHA is the support of the brain and eye development of the fetus in the womb.
Recommended daily omega-3 dose
- For children between 3-4 years; 2.5 ml (half a teaspoon) daily
- For children between 4-10 years; 5 ml (one teaspoon) daily
- For children over 11 years and adults ; 5 ml (one teaspoon) daily
What are the Omega 3 sources?
EPA and DHA, which have an actual function in our body, can only be obtained from animal foods. High-fat fish and supplements such as fish oil that contain omega 3 are important sources of EPA and DHA.
